Cut me and I'd bleed Oil

Game 5 was another stellar outing. This time, Amit and I made the run down to Motor City and, again, the Oilers didn't disappoint.

Horc's heroics at the end of the game typified the grit found in the Oilers. To quote one of the sports writers out there: "It was all pain, all gain."

So far, I've seen such a huge difference in the fan support between the two cities. Even down 4-2 in the third period of Game 4, the cheers of "Go Oilers Go" lasted till the bitter end. At the Joe, there was an exodus with five minutes left in the third. There's no way any other team in the league has the spirit that they do in Edmonton.

What I love about this series is that the Oilers are winning by doing everything they're supposed to be doing. They're being aggressive offensively, they're playing disciplined defense, they're sacrificing themselves completely. It feels good because they deserve the wins they've gotten. Anytime they haven't been on their game plan, they've been punished for it. Case in point, the sloppy 3rd period in Game 3. The moment they sat back, the Wings came roaring in.

If we keep on playing like this, there's no way we shouldn't go all the way.

We've earned it.

That reminds me, J.

HR wanted to talk to you.

Just a heads up: It's probably not about your "20 or 30 friends", though you'd probably mention it given the staff this summer.
